Diwali, the hindu festival of light which marks the arrival of the new year, is almost here and to celebrate, Diogenes has invited Lata Dhanani (a real ‘Indian mamma’) to come especially from London to share her knowledge of Indian culture and passion for pure vegetarian cooking.

In this special Diwali workshop you will learn all the techniques necessary to make a deceptively simple to prepare, but complete Indian meal. With no experience or previous cooking knowledge necessary for this workshop, you will learn everything about the different ingredients and spices commonly used in Indian cooking.

The meal you will help to cook consists of a variety of delicious starter dishes, 2/3 different types of fresh vegetable curries to be eaten with your very own hand-rolled indian flatbread (roti) and accompanied by a spicy rice dish. All that topped off with a traditionally festive sweet dish and hot masala chai.
